We are working with our parish chapter of St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) to help families in our schools and parish have something special for Christmas.
Until Wednesday 6 December, we ask that you consider buying an extra long-life ‘Christmassy’ food item with the groceries to contribute to the ‘Christmas Table’ of a family in need. These families are from St James the Apostle parish, and our Vinnies is working with Thomas Carr College to deliver hampers in time for Christmas.
These food donations can be placed in the collection areas set up by each learning community.
Some ideas may include:
mince pies | lemonade | nuts | dipping biscuits |
shortbread | Christmas cake | pudding | biscuits |
chocolate | chips | chutney | mint wafers |
pretzels | bonbons | mustard | apple sauce |
savoury biscuits | ice cream flavouring | lollies | chocolate biscuits |
Have a look at the great work Vinnies already does in our community and find out how you can be a part of it via their website.
