One hundred is a big number for anyone, but it’s especially massive for our Prep learners who mark a special milestone at school.
Our Prep Learning Community took the opportunity to stop and celebrate 100 Days of School, recognising the achievements and growth of every learner in their first semester of primary school.
The special day of celebrations gave the Preps a chance to put their learning to good use.
Creative thinking and problem solving was put to the test when trying to build a structure with 100 cups, while new arts knowledge and motor skills were in the spotlight when it came to creating celebratory jewellery.
Mathematical number knowledge was in the championship position all day though, as learners showed all that they knew about the number 100.
Milestones are always celebrated in Catholic communities and this one is no different! It has been a privilege seeing the youngest members of our learning community grow and change over the last 100 days.
Not only have they made new friends, they have built their knowledge of English and Mathematics through our implementation of impactful teaching strategies described in MACS's 'Vision for Instruction'. We can't wait to see just how much they grow as friends of Jesus and amazing learners throughout the rest of this year.
Thanks to all the families who could be part of the day with the Prep Learning Community. Our learners can only achieve their gold-medal-winning best when every member of their team – parents, school and community – work together to get them over the line.
